Cross-Border ePrescription: Patients can purchase prescribed medicines in any EU country, ensuring continuity of care. 25 European countries are participating in the project, with 9 already using the service daily. The goal is to cover all of Europe
Safety and Efficiency: Digital prescriptions reduce medication errors and administrative burdens, speeding up the process. Effective data sharing between countries helps doctors make better decisions and tailor treatments.
Implementation: The secure OpenNCP platform, part of the EU’s eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure, facilitates data exchange. Industry62 implemented this platform in Estonia, integrating it with the Estonian Prescription Centre and pharmacies.
