For the execution of CTF-type trainings, CybExer has developed a dedicated software solution called the CTF Mission Zone. It offers novel opportunities for conducting various training and assessment projects where there is a need to execute coordinated and supervised activities to achieve specific learning or assessment objectives. The CTF Mission Zone provides the training management environment that contains descriptions of pre-defined tasks or “missions” that the participants (either an individual or a team) must complete. When used together with our cyber range solutions, the platform can be employed for CTF trainings, self-service individual trainings, cyber challenges/competitions and job applicant testing facilities.

The most advanced versions of the CTF Mission Zone have been developed in conjunction with the global cybersecurity conference Hack in the Box with whom large-scale, international competitive cyber events have been conducted, engaging students and cybersecurity enthusiasts from all over the world.

CTF Mission Zone offers wide flexibility in setting the conditions of an event: • Participant Structure – Individual or Teams • Type of Tasks – Theoretical and practical • Training Flow – Fixed flow or loose flow • Limits and Timing – No restrictions • Scoring and Elements of Competition – Participant progress is scored and maintained; for competitive events, a live scoreboard is included
