On the frontline of cyber security
Estonia has developed extensive expertise in cyber security infrastructure and is one of the most recognised and valued hosts of international cyber security experts. A series of cyber-attacks in 2007 was the catalyst for a shift in Estonia’s cyber security landscape. After that, scalable blockchain technology was developed to ensure the integrity of information stored in government databases and to protect against insider threats. As a nod to its innovation and diligence, Estonia hosts both the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence and the European IT agency.
